I hardly ever do 2 in one day, but I had a lot of ideas today and only had time to finish two of them. These were both for the Limited Supplies challenge today at SCS. We were to add a little something borrowed, blue, old and new. I borrowed the design idea from cmc2stamp (Connie). I really liked the layout of her card. I didn’t have the images she used, so I made do with what I have. First I stamped the background images (Autumn Leaves) with white pigment ink and heat set. Then the foreground images (Inkadinkado) were stamped with black dye ink. I drew in swirls of grasses with a fine line black marker. All the dots were done with a white gel pen. The faux brads were made by using a 1/4″ hole punch and punching out black circles. I had to leave off the sentiment because my image was a little larger than hers and I just ran out of room.
For this card, the images are the new, the cardstock and glitter glue (Stickles) are old, the borrowed and blue are both the Soft Sky ink pad. The images (Papertrey Ink) are two step images with solid background (shadow type) stamps and fine line stamps. The background flowers were stamped with the soft sky then the fine line images were stamped on top with black ink. I cut out all the flowers and layered them on top with foam tape. All the flowers are dotted with the glitter glue.
The layers are sponged with the soft sky and I put little border dots all around with a gray glaze pen. I cut a round flower out with a scallop punch and cut it in half to place on either side.
