SC242 Serengeti Sunset 3208a2
Only a day late for this sketch. I started it yesterday, but wasn’t able to finish until today. I turned the sketch on its side to fit the images I wanted to use. (All images are FireCracker Designs)

On white c/s, I brayed the different colors of Distress Inks, starting w/ the mustard in the middle and using progressively darker inks toward the edges. I stamped all the silhouette images w/ coal ink, added white highlights and used markers to add shadows beneath the images. The panels are edged w/ black, layered on the s.sun then a black layer.

The long side strip base is the w/ strips of s.sun and 2 sliced off strips of my image panel bordered by black. In place of the center layer, I used some straw mesh ribbon w/ a few edge strands removed to give the frayed edges.

Raffia was tied thru the buttons before they were glued on. I was going to put a sentiment, but I sort of ran out of room, lol, so it will have to be on the inside.

Audrey Bedding Collection

It’s the 3rd Thursday so that means it’s time for another Divine Divas Inspiration Challenge! This time, Lori chose this wonderful bedding from Wrappables.  It made me think of 24k chocolate, if there is such a thing.

So this is what I came up with. It’s about as 24k as I could get, lol. Everything is detail gold embossed. And the c/s is a chocolate bronze metallic, burnished gold metallic and a textured tan. DDIC 10 Choc Satin Bday 3195a1

The two sizes of skeleton leaves (HA) were stamped on the metallic bronze c/s w/ gold pigment ink and embossed w/ detail gold powder. The sentiment (SG) was done the same way. The center band was stamped w/ a crackle image (Magenta) and also gold embossed.

The center gold square was cut w/ a square Spellbinders Nestie. I edge the bronze panels w/ a gold leafing pen. One leaf was cut out and added and gold mini brads were attached.

Thanks so much for stopping by and this week we have a new Divine Divas team member so please welcome Anne aka jdmommy! Please stop by and visit all the Divas and we’d love for you to join in our challenge. If you upload to Splitcoast, please add DDIC in your keywords so we can find you.
