I’m combining today’s sketch w/ one of the NYE challenges, BLING. IRL this is much better looking. It’s just so hard to get a decent pic here in the east after about 4:00pm. So the colors are off and the gold ep and glitter gel pen don’t show up as well.

All images by FireCracker Designs. The image and greeting were gold embossed and I used a red glitter gel pen to add a little color to the image. The red frame was cut using an oval nestie inside a rectangular nestie. I doodled the black around the oval and added some dots w/ a gold gel pen.

Everything is layered a few times and the nestie buckle was cut out of the metallic gold c/s. The ribbon is from Mike’s $ bin. The black bg was bugged w/ the textile folder. Several layers were edged w/ a gold Krylon pen.

When I first saw today’s color combo at SCS, I wasn’t at all sure I would like it. But it’s kind of growing on me. (It would help a lot if it didn’t get dark so early. All the colors are off and when I went to try a pic under the Ott light, the battery in my camera was dead. When it charges, I’ll try it again and see if I can replace this w/ a better photo.)

(This photo has truer colors.)

All images are FireCracker Designs. I stamped the left & right flourishes w/ the burgundy ink, back to back to form the heart. I added the sentiment below and little punched hearts on top. I used a cream colored paint pen to draw the tiny hearts inside the burgundy ones then added stickles on top. I colored in the flourish a little w/ the ochre marker and also used it to edge the piece.

The image is layered on burgundy, saffron, and hunter then on another vanilla layer that I stamped the heart medallion w/ the three colors of ink. Another hunter layer behind it then the vanilla card. Pretty easy.

Here’s another for Wednesday’s sketch at SCS. I stamped the closest tree, rocks, sprigs and ground ( FireCracker Designs ); and w/ a black pen, I drew in the other two small trees. I cut masks for them and used a large circle punch for the moon. I sponged on the soft blue ink then the cobalt around the edges and above the snow. The panel was edged w/ a black marker and attached to white then to blue panels.

The bg was cuttlebugged w/ the branches folder. I lightly brayered the black ink over the top. I attached varying sizes of blue strips around the edges and dotted w/ a white gel pen.
