You have through Sunday Sept 10 to leave comments on the blogs for a chance to win. Mary will announce a winner on Sept 11 on her Blog.  Each month a different image is 50% off. This month- it’s the Rake! On the first & third Wednesdays of every month., we’ll be celebrating with a Blog Hop!

To make my fall card, I put a piece of ivory card stock into my Misti & stamped the Tree Frame w/ the Kaleidacolor rainbow ink pad a couple of times. I used a water brush to drag the colors into the image then stamped over it w/ the vintage photo oxide ink.  I ended up fussy cutting the trees & attaching them to die cut piece of ivory where I stamped the tree frame again a couple of times w/ the Kpad (to add a colored outline). The greeting was stamped w/ the Versafine ink & a couple of leaves from the Remember To set were fussy cut & added. On the bg rectangles, I stamped the Wood Grain Bg onto ivory using the oxide ink then sponged some of the antique linen & vintage photo Distress inks onto it.

Here’s a look at the inside.

Next stop is Vickie‘s Blog!  Please be sure to comment on all the DT Blogs..it will be so appreciated & also increase your chances of winning!

It’s my turn to host the Featured Stamper Challenge (FS529) on Splitcoast so a big congrats to Hideko Lagan, aka PapercraftBoutique! She has a really sweet gallery & I chose THIS to case. I liked the colors & the pieced strip bg so I kept that but I used different images, different dies & turned my horizontal. Hideko was brought to my attention by the very sweet Kia…thanks, Kia!

To make my roller coaster card, after stamping & coloring the image, I used a double stitched die and my into the window technique. All of the strips in the background were die cut w/ one of the smaller sizes of the stitched long & skinny mats, then I arranged them & used scotch tape on the back to hold them together. I used a curved stitched die that closely followed the greeting curve, to cut the bottom of the strips then I attached them to the card front.  I attached a bunch of leftover pieces & strips to the back side of the framed image to give it a little lift. Some sequins were added for a little sparkle.

Here’s a look at the inside, using more strips & below it are the Copics I used to color the image.

Today’s Inspiration Challenge (IC563) is all about hats & since I chose THIS hat because I knew I had this cute Jack O’Lantern w/ a pointy hat image I could use. I’m also adding this to the WT601 Challenge to heat emboss (the greeting was).  starry-jack-09807
To begin, I stamped the Jack O’Lantern, colored w/ Copics, added a little Wink of Stella to the stars & buckle then fussy cut it. For the white panel, funny enough, but I already had it w/ the embossed greeting & the big star cut out of it. Seriously…I save everything! And more often than not, it pays off. I thought it made the perfect backdrop for Jack & the die cut stacked stars down the right when attached on top of a black layer. starry-jack-xcu-09813
The stacked stars were die cut out of black, gold glitter & coppery orange glitter card stock then paper pieced all together. In person, the coppery orange is a lot more orange but not so bright it overshadows the orange in the jack o’lantern.
Below is the inside…I used a negative of the stacked stars as a mask & sponged the colors through it. And the Copics I used to color Jack are right underneath it.
