Such a lovely site for the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge! After much window shopping, I chose THIS picture for my inspiration. My colors ended up being a little more blue than green, but that’s how it goes sometimes.

For my card, I stamped the lovely poppies onto 3 slightly different shades of teal using teal ink. I colored them all w/ the same Prismacolor pencils then die cut w/ the matching die. The background was done on glossy card & I stamped a bunch of different Birthday greetings w/ clear resist ink then brayered over it w/ a Kaliedacolor rainbow ink pad. I spattered it a little w/ wet paintbrush then dabbed off the water drops. The resist images were very easy to see at first (you can see it in the pic w/ the Prismas, below), but by the next day when I took the rest of the pics, the words had just about faded into the bg & only the water splats remained. I used a circle &  a rectangle frame to give my image & bg a little punch then added the die cut greeting. It actually says Wishes but I trimmed off the es.

Here’s the inside & below it are the Prismas I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

It’s my turn & my pleasure to host the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge this week! And we’re headed to the V&A (Victoria & Albert) Museum. There are so many wonderful things to see there & after much browsing, I chose THIS for my inspiration.

For my butterflies, after stamping a coloring, they were die cut w/ their matching dies. I used a white paint pen to add the dots on the wings & outlined them w/ a black pen.  I came across just a strip of polished stone background I made a long time ago & thought it looked good w/ the color in the butterflies. I die cut it w/ a flag die, using my Resizing Technique to lengthen the flag. The greeting was added in the corner & some sequins for a little sparkle.

Here’s the inside & below it are the Copics I used.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

For the Color Challenge (CC728) on Splitcoast, the colors are clover green, gold & black. Perfect colors for a St. Patrick’s Day card.

For my card, I thought this cute little dancer would look good paired w/ the Hat Full of Shamrocks in the window behind her. After coloring the hat, I die cut a white & a green frame & cut a window in the top. The greetingShamrock Vine Corner images were stamped & the little Jazz Dancer was fussy cut & added on top. I used a gold glitter gel pen to add a little sparkle to the fringe on her skirt & shoes.

Here’s a look at the inside & I’m so sorry, but I somehow deleted or forgot to take the pic of the Copics I used. Must be those leprechauns up to shenanigans!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
