  • Love Heart (Two)

A sweet, pretty in pink, Valentine, wedding or anniversary card using some new dies & paper. Looks fancy, but it’s easy to make & the bonus is you can make a second, opposite card using the leftover paper & die cuts. (That will be coming in a later post.)

For the Inspiration Challenge (IC946) we are visiting My Red Door & their Pinterest Board where I was inspired by THIS pillow.

For my card, I die cut the beautiful heart w/ birds once out of white & again using the pink patterned paper. I used the Love die & cut the word in the top of the white heart, allowing the pink paper to show through.  I used the pink outline of the heart w/ the white inside of the second heart. The fancy background was cut out of white & backed with the rest of the pink paper. The missing heart in the center of the pink paper is covered by the fancy white layer, so no one will know it’s even missing. The little bird bodies were also cut out in areas that wouldn’t be seen.

The birds have white wings added & the birds as well as the big heart are popped up a bit for dimension. Three white half pearls were attached in each of the four corners.

  • Snowmen Wishes

A fun, clean & simple Christmas or winter holiday card featuring some really cute snowmen & some sweet little birds. The matching dies for these images make it quick & easy to put together.

We are visiting a site called Tatertots & Jello and their Pinterest Board where I found THIS picture for my inspiration.

My snowmen card is pretty quick & easy. I colored all the cute images & die cut them w/ their matching dies. The large kraft panel was cut w/ a deckle edge die then I splattered white acrylic paint on it using a wet paintbrush. The greeting was stamped onto a narrow strip & I used a tag die to cut it. The strip was narrower than the die, so I made sure to center it in order to have it even.

The snowman on the right was popped up a bit & I colored & cut out a second tree & popped it up a bit more before adding some gems & star gem on top. The star gem was clear so I used the YR15 Copic to go over the top of it. A little stickles was added here & there on the snowmen because I love a little sparkle!

  • Christmas Bicycle Postcard

A Christmas card reminiscent of vintage postcards, using understated grey & white w/ splash of red, here & there. Easy to make & easy to mail since it’s one layer.

A big congrats to DonnaJeanne, the newest Featured Stamper (FS877)! She has a marvelous gallery & I chose THIS card to case. I kept the muted grey & white w/ a splash of red colors & the 2 wheeler, but I used different images & dies, a bicycle instead of a motorcycle & made mine a Christmas card.

After stamping & die cutting the bicycle, poinsettia, holly & bow, I stamped the snowflakes & postcard border using light grey ink. The paper came w/ this distressed look & I thought it worked well for my vintage postcard look. I also inked the edges just a bit w/ the same grey ink. For the greeting & other postcard writing, I stamped it first w/ black ink then over stamped w/ red to give it the burgundy color. I added a die cut little cardinal on the bicycle seat. I added another die cut bicycle under the original to give it a little dimension & sturdiness.

Here are the Copics I used:
