Such a fabulous site Brenda chose for the Inspiration Challenge! I loved THIS w/ the sweet little birdhouse so it was my inspiration.
For my card, I used the new Bird Feeder image (I love the little nuthatch!) & wonderful greeting. Since it mentions stormy weather, I wanted the background to reflect that so after stamping & coloring the bird feeder, I masked it then sponged in the bg. I stamped the greeting then added a few raindrops I drew & cut out. I used a birds on a wire punch across a piece of black c/s then added strips of gray & red for contrast to the black layer. A little red bird was added just because…

Today’s challenges on Splitcoast, TLC677 & CAS468 were combined for this card. The Technique was use a paper towel roll as a painting tool & the Clean & Simple was to have a bird.
So for the technique challenge, I took the cardboard center of a paper towel roll & cut a piece off then cut it up the middle & used only about half of it. After rolling this piece much tighter (for a smaller circumference) I taped it the slit the bottom as per the technique. After stamping w/ the different colors of paint, I let it dry. It wasn’t quite as pretty as I hoped it would be, so I just a section of it behind the toucan. The toucan was colored w/ Copics & die cut.
Here are the Copics I used for the toucan.

For my Christmas card, I couldn’t wait to color this wonderful image. Since I was in the middle of moving, I didn’t have a chance to make as many Christmas cards as I wanted so this challenge is perfect. After I colored Santa, I used the smallest of the Grand Labels 1 die to cut a frame out of the blue layer. I thought it needed something, so I die cut a decorative labels 1 out of black & used the largest of the Labels 1 to cut out the middle of it & make a double frame for Santa.
